Rebirth from the Waste

The series “Rebirth from Waste / Rinascita dagli scarti” was born from the collaboration between artist Tincolini and six young people with disabilities from Anffas Onlus Massa Carrara. This social project led to the creation of two monumental sculptures, Satiro dei Sassi and Venere dei Sassi, made from marble scraps recomposed into blocks and sculpted through a combination of robotic technologies and manual finishes.

The works reinterpret classical art in a contemporary key, evoking the aesthetic of the dry-stone walls built by quarrymen and celebrating the history of the Apuan territory. The initiative aimed to foster inclusion and to enhance creativity as a tool for expression, communication, and social change.

Documented by photographer Laura Veschi, the project brings together art, sustainability, and participation, raising awareness in the community on disability and integration through the universal language of art.
