Paratissima Event

13 June - 9 September 2023
Overview

From June 13 to September 10, 2023, the evocative Manica del Mosca in the Cavallerizza Complex Paratissima hosted "La Luna Bambina," a collective exhibition curated by Francesca Canfora and Laura Tota. This exhibition aimed to explore current and contemporary themes using playful language directed at children, yet capable of capturing the imagination of adults.

Filippo Tincolini participated in the exhibition with his work "Spaceman Shine" a shocking pink astronaut that perfectly embodied the spirit of the show, blending the allure of pop culture with profound reflective themes. Tincolini used this vibrant color to evoke the dynamism and energy of childhood, while the contrast between the material used and the subject depicted stimulates reflection on the relationship between technology and nature, between dream and reality. Nature, represented by the flowers emerging from the astronaut's suit, reclaims its space in a hyper-technological world, inviting the viewer to a playful and intuitive exploration of art.

The exhibition "La Luna Bambina" aimed to address a very young audience with fantasy and wonder, revealing not only the enchantment and amazement with which contemporary art can portray reality and dreams but also, through artistic expedients, highlighting important current themes in a playful and light-hearted manner.

Participating in "La Luna Bambina" with "Spaceman Shine" allowed Tincolini to engage with a young audience, using a visual language that combines playful simplicity with the intensity of the themes addressed. This experience offered the artist the opportunity to share his vision with a new generation, emphasizing how art can be a powerful tool to educate, inspire, and stimulate the imagination.
